Make sure you are getting the most out of your personal training session:
- Clearly outline your fitness needs, goals and time frame. Make sure you understand which goals have the highest priority for you. This will help to keep both you and your trainer accountable.
- Be prepared for your workout. Avoid drinking alcohol the night before a session, ensure that you get adequate sleep, eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at the gym early to complete a warm-up prior to your training session.
- Show up on time. If you have a 60 min session and you're regularly 10 min late, that can add up to almost 27 missed sessions per year. Arriving late will also mean that your trainer will have to alter your original workout plan by skipping exercises to finish your pre-scheduled session.
- Bring water. Staying hydrated during a workout is your responsibility, although water bottles will be available to our clients.
- Stretch on your own time after a session. Once your trainer has taught you proper stretching techniques, you may complete your stretches afterwards in order to allow more time to train during your session.
